Drone Power: Conservation, Humanitarianism, Policing and War

A convergence of four genealogies reveals drone power. Environmentality describes the contradictory uses drones in conservation. Humanitarianism articulates how control is enacted and challenged human crises. Securitization examines surveillance counter-surveillance. Militarization, use war, explains domination from above resistance below. While theories governmentality dominate, an emergent materialism within studies emphasizes diffusion power agency. synthesis exposes flightways or elemental trajectories. The existential technology – a tool for enlivenment senescence. As such, migrates between biopolitics resistance. In doing so, performativity generates assemblages nonhuman actants entangled at material-discursive onto-epistemological levels. Entrapment designates consequences increasing dependency on technologies sociotechnical systems life death.
